Product Care
Your MuseFo piece is designed to become a timeless heirloom. With proper care, it will maintain its beauty and value for generations.
Universal Care Principles
These fundamental guidelines apply to all materials and help preserve your artwork indefinitely.
Stable Display
Always place artwork on stable, level surfaces. Use museum wax or putty on smooth surfaces to prevent sliding. For wall-mounted pieces, use appropriate hardware rated for the weight.
Light Exposure
Limit direct sunlight exposure for all materials except stone and metal. UV rays can fade pigments, damage textiles, and accelerate degradation of organic materials.
Humidity Control
Maintain indoor humidity between 40-60% for most materials. Use dehumidifiers in humid climates and humidifiers in dry environments. Fluctuating humidity causes the most damage.
Air Quality
Keep your space dust-free and well-ventilated. Avoid placing art near kitchens (grease), bathrooms (steam), or workshops (chemicals). Air purifiers help maintain clean air around valuable pieces.
Material-Specific Care Guides
Select your piece's primary material for detailed preservation instructions.
Materials
Metal & Brass

- Do not place near heat sources or open flames
- Use felt pads under metal pieces to protect surfaces
Expert Note
Patina development is natural and adds character. If you prefer the original shine, regular polishing will maintain the bright finish.
Long-Term Preservation
For pieces intended as family heirlooms, consider these additional preservation strategies. Proper care can maintain artwork condition for centuries.
Annual Inspection
Examine your pieces annually for signs of wear, damage, or environmental stress. Early detection prevents minor issues from becoming major restoration projects.
Professional Conservation
For valuable pieces over $5,000, consider annual professional cleaning and condition assessment by an art conservator. This maintains value and catches issues early.
Documentation & Insurance
Keep certificates of authenticity, purchase documentation, and professional appraisals on file. Update valuations every 3-5 years and ensure pieces are covered under your insurance policy.
